We are working on what will be in the Create Programnme for 2019. We value your comments and suggestions.
We will try to have booking forms available at least 4 weeks before an event date.
The next session will be on 24th October 2018.
Bookings should be made through the booking form on your CHP page not via this message board. Protected learning time should be FUN, INTERESTING, HELPFUL. Please add any comments below about your thoughts of PLT and what you might like to see in the future.
- Is vehicle for delivery of service change
- Promotes and develops partnership and multi-disciplinary working
- Is a conduit of communication between MCN and primary care staff
- Can reach all staff at the same time
- Is a two-way dynamic between learning needs and learning provision
About us
CREATE is Forth Valley's version of Protected learning time for primary care staff. NHS 24 covers all calls to practices for 7 half day sessions per year from 12:30 until 6pm.
Create or community resource for education, audit and team working is a time for the whole practice team to be off. This is in part to allow the whole team to learn together and give also professional groups time to learn together. If as a practice you are ever struggling to find a topic for any group in your practice ie GP's or nurses then feel free to contact us and we can arrange or suggest a suitable thing.
If you are unable to organise anything suitable for a particular member of your team then it is really a practice decision what you do, but I would suggest attending a locality session.
A lot of Primary care staff complain that the next morning is harder because of the closure but it is our belief that you are better with an afternoon of study followed by a slightly harder morning than no time to study at all. CREATE is paid for by the CHP and as such should be used responsibly.
